Entitlement hygiene after an HR system migration
Leavers lists and treasury application IDs drift apart quietly. A short reconciliation habit prevents dormant release rights from lingering.
HR migrations update employment status. They do not automatically retire every entitlement inside a treasury payment hub. We still meet dormant accounts that can amend standing payment instructions months after the person left the company.
A workable habit: each month, compare the HR leaver extract to active treasury application IDs with release or template rights. Investigate anything that survives more than one cycle. Store the comparison with the control matrix so internal audit can see the rhythm.
This is not glamorous work. It is the kind of quiet control that keeps an application audit’s high-severity findings shorter the next time someone external reviews the same system.
